Everything you need to know about how payments work on IslaFans — for fans subscribing to creators and for creators receiving payouts. For the full legal terms, see our Terms of Service.

Subscriptions

How do subscriptions work?

When you subscribe to a creator, you pay a recurring monthly fee set by that creator. In return, you get access to their subscriber-only content for the duration of the billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel.

When am I charged?

You are charged immediately when you first subscribe. After that, you are billed on the same date each month (e.g., if you subscribed on the 10th, you'll be billed on the 10th of each subsequent month). If that date doesn't exist in a given month (e.g., the 31st), you'll be charged on the last day of that month.

Can I subscribe to multiple creators?

Yes. Each subscription is independent. You can subscribe to as many creators as you like, and each is billed and managed separately.

What about tips and pay-per-view content?

Tips and pay-per-view (PPV) purchases are one-time charges, separate from your subscription. They are charged immediately and are non-refundable once the content has been accessed.

Payment Methods

What payment methods does IslaFans accept?

IslaFans accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary by country.

Is my card information stored on IslaFans?

No. IslaFans does not store your full card number, CVV, or sensitive payment data. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe, Inc., our PCI-DSS certified payment processor. We store only the last four digits of your card, the card type, and billing address for reference.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes. Go to Settings → Payment Methods to add, update, or remove a card. Changes apply to future billing cycles. If your card on file is expired or invalid, update it before your next billing date to avoid a failed payment.

Failed Payments

What happens if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and retry the charge once after a short delay. If the retry also fails, your subscription to that creator will be paused and you will lose access to their subscriber content until a successful payment is made.

How do I fix a failed payment?

Update your payment method in Settings → Payment Methods. Once a valid card is on file, you can resubscribe to the creator from their profile. Your previous subscription period does not carry over — a new billing cycle begins.

Cancelling a Subscription

How do I cancel?

Go to Settings → Subscriptions, find the creator you want to unsubscribe from, and select “Cancel Subscription.” You can also cancel directly from the creator's profile page.

What happens after I cancel?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to the creator's subscriber content until that date. After the period ends, access is removed and no further charges are made.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period. If you cancel immediately after subscribing and have not accessed any content, contact us at support@islafans.com and we will review on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds

What is IslaFans' refund policy?

All purchases on IslaFans are final. We do not issue refunds for subscription payments, tips, or pay-per-view content once the billing period has started or the content has been accessed. This is standard for digital subscription services.

Are there any exceptions?

We may issue refunds in the following limited circumstances:

  • A technical error caused you to be charged twice for the same subscription;
  • A creator's account was terminated by IslaFans before your billing period ended, and you did not receive the subscribed content;
  • Applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires a refund.

To request a refund, contact support@islafans.com within 7 days of the charge, including your account email and the transaction details.

Chargebacks

What is a chargeback?

A chargeback is when you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer instead of resolving it with IslaFans directly. Your bank reverses the payment while it investigates.

What happens if I file a chargeback?

Filing a chargeback without first contacting IslaFans support constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service. Your account will be suspended immediately while the dispute is investigated. If the chargeback is found to be invalid or fraudulent, your account will be permanently banned and you may be held liable for the disputed amount plus any associated fees.

Creator Payouts

How much do creators earn?

Creators receive 80% of gross revenue from subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view, and live stream sales, after payment processor fees. IslaFans retains a 20% platform commission.

When are payouts processed?

Earnings from each calendar month are paid out within 30 days of the month's close (net-30), provided the balance meets the minimum payout threshold and your payout method and tax documentation are on file and verified.

What payout methods are available?

Available methods depend on your country. US creators can use ACH direct bank transfer. International creators can use bank wire transfer. Check your Creator Studio settings for the options available to you.

Why is my payout on hold?

A payout may be held if: your tax documents (W-9 or W-8) are missing or expired; your account is under Trust & Safety review; a fan has initiated a chargeback related to your content; or your balance is below the minimum threshold. Check your Creator Studio for the specific reason, or contact payouts@islafans.com.

Taxes for Fans

Will I be charged sales tax?

Applicable taxes (such as sales tax or VAT) may be added to your purchase depending on your location. Any applicable tax will be shown at checkout before you confirm the purchase. IslaFans is not able to provide tax advice — consult a tax professional if you have questions about the tax treatment of your purchases.

Payment Security

How does IslaFans protect my payment information?

Payment processing on IslaFans is handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level of certification available for payment processors. Your card data is encrypted and transmitted directly to Stripe; it never passes through or is stored on IslaFans' own servers.

I see a charge I don't recognise. What should I do?

First, check your active subscriptions in Settings → Subscriptions — you may have an active subscription you forgot about. If the charge is still unrecognised, contact us at support@islafans.com with the charge date, amount, and the last four digits of the card charged. Do not file a chargeback before contacting us — we can resolve unrecognised charges quickly.
