Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.

In addition to cookies, we and our service providers may use similar technologies, including:

  • Local storage and session storage: browser-side storage mechanisms that persist data locally on your device for session management and UI state.
  • Pixel tags (web beacons): small transparent image files embedded in emails or web pages used to track whether an email was opened or a page was visited.
  • Device fingerprinting: used by our payment processor (Stripe) to detect and prevent fraud.

References to “cookies” in this policy encompass all of the above technologies unless otherwise specified.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in to your account securely across browsing sessions;
  • Protect the platform against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other security threats;
  • Remember your preferences such as language and display settings;
  • Process payments securely and detect fraudulent transactions;
  • Understand how users navigate and use our platform to improve performance and features;
  • Provide CDN and network security services through Cloudflare.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

Cannot be disabled

These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They enable core features such as authentication (keeping you logged in), CSRF protection, payment security (Stripe fraud detection), and CDN/network security (Cloudflare). The platform cannot function properly without these cookies. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies while using the Services.

Examples: session token, CSRF token, Stripe fraud prevention, Cloudflare bot management.

Functional

Optional — disabling may limit functionality

These cookies remember choices you make to give you a more personalized experience. For example, we use a functional cookie to store your language or locale preference so you don't have to re-select it each visit. Disabling these cookies means the platform may not remember your preferences between sessions.

Examples: language/locale preference.

Analytics & Performance

Optional — can be opted out

We may use analytics cookies to collect aggregated, anonymized data about how users interact with the Services — such as pages visited, session duration, and error events. This data helps us improve platform performance and identify issues. We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes, and we do not share raw analytics data with third parties. You can opt out of analytics cookies using our Cookie Preferences tool.

Examples: page view counts, error tracking, session duration.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our platform are set by third-party services that we use to provide the Services. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties:

Stripe, Inc.

Stripe sets cookies to detect and prevent fraud, ensure payment security, and maintain session continuity during checkout. These cookies are strictly necessary for payment processing to work.

Cloudflare, Inc.

Cloudflare provides our CDN, DDoS protection, and network security services. Cloudflare sets a cookie (_cf_bm) to identify automated bot traffic and protect the platform from abuse.

6. Managing Your Cookies

6.1 Cookie Preferences Banner

When you first visit IslaFans, you will see a Cookie Consent banner. You can use this banner to accept all cookies or manage your preferences for non-essential cookie categories (functional, analytics). Your preferences are saved in a cookie_consent cookie for one year.

You can update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page. Please note that changing your preferences may affect your experience on the platform.

6.2 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these settings in the “Privacy” or “Security” section of your browser preferences. Here are links to cookie management instructions for the most common browsers:

⚠ Important: Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies (such as session tokens and CSRF cookies) will prevent you from logging in and using core platform features. Blocking Stripe's cookies may prevent payment processing from working correctly.

7. Do Not Track

Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. IslaFans does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how websites should interpret and respond to such signals.

We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add new features, services, or third-party integrations. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via the Cookie Consent banner or email.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
